Objective:
The purpose of the Foundation is to serve the public interest by promoting the conservation of the Schnitger Organ (built in 1721) in the Grote or Sint Michaëlskerk in Zwolle, and in connection therewith the preservation of that church building.
Beleidsplan:
De stichting werkt op basis van een convenant dat zij op 20 december 2017 met Stichting Academiehuis de Grote Kerk heeft gesloten. Enerzijds wordt de stichting betrokken bij de benoeming van organisten en bij de programmering. Anderzijds draagt de stichting de onderhoudskosten van het orgel en werft zij fondsen voor de restauratie.
Remuneration policy:
The directors can only claim expenses actually incurred.
In accordance with article 4 paragraph 7 of the articles of association, they receive no remuneration.
Activities Performed:
Since 2013, the foundation has funded the following activities:
- the restoration of the bellows in 2013;
- the historical study of the instrument by Cees van der Poel and the preparation of a restoration plan in 2014-2016;
- The 2018 color history survey by Bert Jonker;
- In 2017 heeft de stichting een offertetraject uitgevoerd om een restaurateur te selecteren. Dat heeft geleid tot een intentieovereenkomst tussen Stichting Academiehuis de Grote Kerk, Stichting Schnitgerorgel Zwolle en Flentrop Orgelbouw B.V. .te Zaandam.
