An extra dimension provided by the magnificent vaults
Under the 600-year-old vaults of the Grote of St. Michaëlskerk in Zwolle, stories come to life. Here your event will have an extra dimension; whether it is a lecture, congress, concert or dinner. The church has a rich history, dating back to the 14th century. Highlights in the church include the Schnitger organ built in 1721 and the Renaissance-style pulpit from 1622. In this ambiance, your event will immediately become an unforgettable meeting, which your guests will remember with pleasure and inspiration.
Facilities
The Midship can be completely furnished to your liking. The Middenschip is equipped with the following facilities as standard:
- TV screen with HDMI/bluetooth
- Sound system for speech
- Wardrobe
- Heating
- Power Wells
- Adjustable lighting in the vaults.
With our regular cooperation partners, we can further expand our facilities in terms of stage technology, furniture and decoration.

Capacity
The flexible layout of the nave makes it possible to host events from 350 to 1,200 people.
Theater seating: 500 pers.
Dinner setup: 300 pers.
The theater setup can be arranged toward the Choir screen, consistory or pulpit by preference and is suitable for all types of concerts, but can also be used as a setup for your wedding.
For larger events, such as conventions, trade shows, exhibitions or large parties, the Middle Ship is the place to make these events unforgettable.
